  • Environmental health: Faculty of Engineering (postgraduate training)

The main research stream of the Division is the study of health effects of chemical workplace hazards and the assessment of exposure with epidemiological measures, exposure and effect biomarkers so as to contribute to better prevention. A specific area of interest is the assessment of DNA damaging effect of biocide chemicals with genotoxicological tests. Further research topics are the investigation of occupational ergonomic and psychosocial risk factors. The staff members collaborate with the World Health Organization and other international partners in educational and research activities in the field of occupational health.
