The aim of the programme

The aim of the BSc in Public Health programme is to give  solid knowledge of the discipline to understand the basic concepts of public health and be able to advise solutions for the challenges.

The BSc program offers courses on Chemistry, Ecology, Basics of informatics, Psychology, Communication, Bioethics, First aid training, Medical Latin, Clinical propedeutics, Sociology, Elective subjects, Introduction to public health, Cell Biology, Basic anatomy, Biostatistics, Environmental health, Genetics and Molecular biology, Basics of pedagogy, Health sociology, Optional subjects and Elective subjects

 

During the first and second year, students study Chemistry, Ecology, Basics of informatics, Psychology, Communication, Bioethics, First aid training, Medical Latin, Clinical propedeutics, Sociology, ElecIntroduction to public health, Cell Biology, Basic anatomy, Biostatistics, Environmental health, Genetics and molecular biology, Basics of pedagogy, Health sociology, Optional subjects, Elective subjects

In the third and fourth year, they study

Opportunities after the BSc degree at the Faculty of Public Health

The University of Debrecen offers a lot of internationally competitive master courses among them the Master in Public Health course in English. By the year of 2016 a new MSc course in Rehabilitation will be launched also for English-speaking students.

Public Health is a rapidly expanding field worldwide. The degree will open up a range of career opportunities throughout the world. It therefore
provides a base from which to proceed to a career in a wide range of health-related occupations or research.
